Two people are facing more than a dozen charges after a traffic stop in Brantford.
The Brantford Police Service said officers stopped a vehicle Saturday on Grey Street.
While speaking with the male driver, officers saw a gun in plain view. The driver and a female passenger were then arrested.
When officers searched the vehicle they found a modified .22 caliber rifle, an imitation firearm, a revolver with altered serial markings, approximately 127.3 grams of suspected cocaine worth around $12,700, a stolen passport, a stolen Ontario Health Card and drug paraphernalia.
A 34-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Mount Pleasant, were charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of careless use/storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of an identity document.
