The Brantford Bulldogs will be opening up their Round 1 series with the North Bay Battalion on home ice.

Fans are being asked to dress in all black for Friday’s game at the Brantford Civic Centre, in what the team is calling ‘The Blackout.’

Supporters will also be able to take advantage of an outdoor area at the Civic Centre during the playoffs featuring food, drinks, live music, and fan activities before the puck hits the ice.

The Bulldogs are hoping to carry some momentum into the playoffs after finishing off the regular season at the top of the Eastern Conference. The Battalion is the eighth-seed.

When the two teams clashed during the regular season, Brantford came away victorious in three out of four meetings.

Puck drops at 7 p.m. Friday.
