The Camosun Chargers volleyball teams are back home for the first time in nearly 2 years due to the pandemic and couldn’t be more excited to welcome fans back! The women serve it up at 4pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday, and the men follow at 6pm and 5pm respectfully. The men’s volleyball team has been in the PACWEST Championship final a record 6 years in a row, winning 4 of them, and the women are coming off a fifth place finish at the 2020 CCAA National Championship. Saturday is also the food drive for the Mustard Seed; fans receive 50% off admission with non-perishable food donation.

Imagine the Future of Home at the 13th Annual Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread Showcase and help local families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s premier fundraiser, the Gingerbread Showcase, will be opening for its 13th season with “The Future of Home” as the theme for 2021. Creations will be displayed online and in four host locations in Downtown Victoria for viewing. Visitors and viewers will be invited to vote for their favourite while making a donation to raise funds to help frame the future for local families.

Follow the currents of ecoligical activism, popular culture and Indigenous beliefs to gain a new appreciation for these sohpisticated animals, long feared in Western cultures as "killer whales." Discover the comples social structure of orca society and reflect on the surprising consequences of captivity.
Learn which orca populations are thriving and which are at risk, and surface with a new understanding of how orcas and humans are inextricably connected: we are all part of nature, not apart from nature.
