For over 97 years, the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has invested in the health of Island kids. All proceeds from the Pot of Gold raffle directly support initiatives like Jeneece Place, Q̓ʷalayu House, and Bear Essentials. These programs help families with complex health needs access the care they need – from a place to stay near the hospital while their child receives medical care to financial support for specialized equipment or health-related travel. Business and community leaders are leading the way to building a dementia-friendly province at the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s Breakfast to Remember. An opportunity to network with colleagues and hear inspiring talks from the voices of community members with lived experience of the disease, while raising valuable funds. Take action and change the future for British Columbians affected by dementia by helping provide critical programs and services, as well as enabling dementia research.

Lace up those kicks, dust off your brightest neon gear, and get ready to time-warp to an era when mixtapes set the mood and pop culture icons ruled the world.

The 18th Oak Bay Half Marathon, Relay, 10km & Dairyland Kids 1km will be held on Sunday May 26. The race starts at 8:00 am (early start 7:00am) with a 4-hour time limit; the last participant will be off the course by 11:00am. For the safety of the participants, the Municipality of Oak Bay and Oak Bay Police Department have given us full road closures on the route so participants can use full lanes throughout the race.

The TD Victoria International JazzFest is a ten-day music festival featuring the jazz, blues and world music of local, Canadian, and internationally acclaimed musicians. The longest running multi-day professional music festival serving audiences on Vancouver Island, TD JazzFest offers its devoted audience a wide scope of programming comparable to much larger festivals in significantly larger urban areas. Since its inception the festival has been presented and produced by the Victoria Jazz Society. 

July 11 - August 18, 2024

Known to locals as Beachfest, this  5 ½ week-long family orientated festival includes: the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition, sculpting demonstrations, weekend concerts, an artisan market, and a special weekend evening light up of the sculptures.
