Three teens have been charged with mischief after a report of a gun in the area of Harry Ainlay High School on Monday.

Police got a report at 8:43 a.m. that shots had been fired at a vehicle.

Officers pulled over a vehicle with three teens inside and found a water gun that shot pellets.

The Edmonton Police Service says it gets numerous gun calls that turn out to be realistic imitation guns.

“Police take firearms complaints seriously due to the threat to public and officer safety,” EPS spokesperson Aminah Syed said in an email to CTV News Edmonton.
