A Ford Focus and a Chevrolet Silverado ended up in the south ditch of Highway 37.

The driver of the Ford Focus was a 17-year-old girl from Sturgeon County. She was declared dead at the scene, police said. No other occupant was in the car.

The driver and the passenger of the truck were not injured.

While the car crash is still being investigated, police have cleared the area and traffic flow has returned to normal.
