A sex offender will be released in Edmonton, police warned on Tuesday.
Byron Douglas Harpold, a convicted sex offender, will live in Edmonton after he’s released from jail, and police “has reasonable grounds to believe he will commit another sexual offence against someone while in the community.”
“Given Harpold’s criminal history with child pornography and indecent acts, his potential victim pool is diverse, widespread, and unpredictable,” the Edmonton Police Service said.
Harpold will be wearing an ankle monitor and has several court-ordered conditions, including not leaving the city, drinking or consuming drugs, or being within 100 metres of schools, daycares and playgrounds.
People with information about potential breaches are asked to call EPS at 780-423-4567.
