Corey Smith, the board chair for EOCF, said the charity will help provide families with a “home-away-from-home” while their children receive medical treatment – helping more than 1,100 families every year.
“With the unwavering support of our amazing fans, we can ensure that families stay together and receive the support they need in these difficult times, allowing them to focus on what truly matters – being there for their child,” Smith said in a Tuesday news release.
“It is at RMHC where families find respite, meals, and time to be together and with a community that understands their current situation,” said RMHC Alberta’s chief development officer Denise Kinghorn.
“With so many families needing RMHC, we are honoured to be so well supported through EOCF and the Edmonton Oilers and their community, who understand the need to keep children close to their family when they are sick,” Kinghorn said.
Early bird prizes are up for grabs, including gift cards, Oilers tickets, signed merchandise and two tickets to the Jelly Roll concert at Rogers Place next month.
Anyone buying more than $100 in 50/50 tickets will also receive a $25 voucher on Sports Bet, receive a $25 coupon for Castrol Oil, and 10 free spins on Oilers Casino Games on Play Alberta.
The main jackpot will be drawn on March 8 at 11 p.m.
