Oilers, Golden Knights start second-round NHL playoff series on Tuesday in Vegas

The Edmonton Oilers, coming off a six-game series victory over the Los Angeles Kings, open the second round of the National Hockey League playoffs in Las Vegas on Tuesday against the Golden Knights.

Vegas, who dispatched the Minnesota Wild in six games, finished the 2024-25 NHL regular season as the top seed in the Pacific Division. The Oilers placed third.

Game 2 is Thursday in Sin City, with Games 3 and 4 in Edmonton next Saturday and Monday, May 12.

The division rivals last met in the postseason in 2023, when the Knights eliminated the Oilers in six games in the second round en route to winning the Stanley Cup.
