Special buses running overnight have been picking up people in need of shelter from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will continue to do that on Sunday night into Monday morning.

The city last issued a cold-weather response the last week of November.

2nd phase of snow clearing starts

Phase 2 of the city's snow-clearing effort on residential streets will start on Tuesday.

A parking ban will start at 7 a.m. and is expected to last 10 days.

Each neighbourhood will be affected for roughly three days.

Streets in Phase 2 include most residential roads and will be bladed to a five-centimetre snowpack.
