Kiss legend Gene Simmons and his band books Nisku date in November

A magnetic, flamboyant rock legend is bringing his band to the Edmonton area later this year.

The Gene Simmons Band will play Nisku’s Silent Ice Center on Nov. 30, one of seven Canadian dates announced Tuesday morning.

The Performing All The Classic Hits! Canada 2026 Tour starts in Nisku before travelling to Calgary, Lethbridge, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Sydney, N.S.

Tickets go on sale Friday at Simmons’s website and via the Silent Ice Center.

Simmons was the bassist, co-lead vocalist and co-founder of iconic rock band Kiss.

He and lead singer Paul Stanley were the two constant members of the best-selling, heavy makeup-wearing band known for its elaborate stage shows, often featuring pyrotechnics, from its start in 1973 until it broke up three years ago.

Simmons, recognizable on stage and on album covers wearing his demon-styled facial makeup and frequently sticking out his long tongue, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Kiss in 2014.

Simmons, a best-selling author and entrepreneur, has also starred alongside his wife Shannon Tweed and their two children in the reality television show Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which aired from 2006-12.
