The City of Edmonton has announced it will lift the residential parking ban for roadways in the city at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The Phase 2 parking ban has been in effect since Jan. 7 due to constant change of temperatures and multiple snowy days.

Crews left snowpack on residential roads to decrease windrows and potential drainage issues, the City of Edmonton said in a Friday news release.

The city asks residents to call 311 to report winter road concerns to help coordinate crews to areas requiring their services.

Residents can receive email or text message notifications of parking ban activations and the status of scheduled roadway clearing by subscribing to Service Notifications on the City of Edmonton’s website.
