Short, who’s starred in classic films including Three Amigos, both Father of the Bride movies and Mars Attacks!, will co-headline the outdoor event alongside stand-up comedian and actor John Mulaney on July 20 in Edmonton.
The comedian is currently starring in the critically-acclaimed whodunnit-comedy series Only Murders in the Building, which is filming its fifth season alongside comedy giant Steve Martin and pop star Selena Gomez.
The festival will make stops in other Canadian cities including Winnipeg, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver.
The Great Outdoor Comedy Festival will be at Kinsmen Park from July 18 to 20.
The final line-up in Edmonton will be announced March 18, according to the comedy festival’s website.
