Anchor, CTV News at 11:30
Brenden Purdy is a multimedia journalist and anchor with CTV News Edmonton. Brenden is a son of the prairies, proudly calling Saskatchewan his home province. He began his media career in 2018 with Global News in his hometown of Saskatoon where he split his time between covering news and sports before shifting his focus to sports full time. Over that time, he had the opportunity to cover many events, including the 2019 Western Hockey League Final, many Saskatoon Hilltops winning seasons and the Saskatchewan Rattlers CEBL Championship victory in 2019. In 2022, Brenden moved to Regina, where he took on the Saskatchewan Roughriders beat and covered the 2022 Grey Cup. In 2023, Brenden transitioned from sports to anchoring a morning show. When he’s not at work you can catch him at a local hockey rink or golf course, playing guitar, cheering for his favourite sports teams or chasing his 200-pound ‘lap dog’ Bogart. He speaks English.
