Saanich Police are sounding the alarm after several acts of mischief were committed early Wednesday morning, including dog feces being smeared all over a car.

Police are asking residents to be on alert for suspicious activity after the messy vandals struck sometime overnight.

They say the dog feces was spread over a car in the 500-block of Baker Street, while a vehicle in the 4000-block of Raymond Street North had yard waste dumped all over it. Compost was even shoved inside the vehicle’s exhaust pipe.

Other vehicles in the Glanford neighbourhood had air let out of the tires.

“Thankfully, no property damage resulted, however, the clean up and inconvenience certainly had an impact on the victims," said Saanich Police Sgt. Steve Eassie. “These pointless acts appear to be completely random.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 250-475-4321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
