Every year, the BC SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) holds a raffle to raise much needed funds for the care of injured, sick and orphaned wild animals on Vancouver Island. Wild ARC treats almost 3,0000 animals each year, helping them recover and return to the wild. All ticket purchases go directly to supporting these efforts - get your ticket now and be entered to win one of five incredible prizes.

Fun for the whole family including the Canada Day Family Parade, Pancake Breakfast, Car Show, Gorge on Art, Kids Zone, Canada Day Market, Strawberry Tea and three stages of entertainment.  Featured entertainment includes Penny Belle, the Avram McCagherty Quartet, and The Fabulous B-Sides.

July 7, 2024 11am - 4pm

From its start as a celebration of Saanich’s agricultural roots, the Strawberry Festival has blossomed into a grand event for all ages. Enjoy a wide variety of family activities, including vendors, a farmers’ market, food trucks, arts and craft stations, bouncy castles, a main stage and a kids’ stage.  Of course, the afternoon wouldn’t be complete without the traditional serving of strawberries and ice cream from 2:00 - 4:00 pm for only $2!

The TD Victoria International JazzFest is a ten-day music festival featuring the jazz, blues and world music of local, Canadian, and internationally acclaimed musicians. The longest running multi-day professional music festival serving audiences on Vancouver Island, TD JazzFest offers its devoted audience a wide scope of programming comparable to much larger festivals in significantly larger urban areas. Since its inception the festival has been presented and produced by the Victoria Jazz Society. 

July 20 - 21, 2024

The Cycle of Life Tour is a fun non-competitive group cycling event that raises funds for local hospices on Vancouver Island.

This 2-day, 200km group ride takes cyclists from Victoria, through Saanich, Mill Bay, the Cowichan Valley with an overnight stay on Salt Spring Island. If you are an avid cyclist and would like to join the ride this July in support of hospice care, or would like to donate to the ride, visit for more information.

Known to locals as Beachfest, this  5 ½ week-long family orientated festival includes: the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition, sculpting demonstrations, weekend concerts, an artisan market, and a special weekend evening light up of the sculptures.

Cadboro Bay Festival celebrates what makes Cadboro Bay beautiful and unique. Learn about ocean sustainability, harken back to days gone by with family-friendly traditional picnic lawn games like croquet, cornhole and potato sack races, participate in an art activity, stroll through the village and visit local shops that can’t be found elsewhere, and eat a picnic lunch with family on the grass while listening to live music.
