City of Victoria launches new ConnectVictoria app
Victorians who come across a pothole or street light outage will now be able to report the issue through their phone.
The City of Victoria launched a new app called ConnectVictoria on Friday.
It was created by the local start-up mobile development company FreshWorks Studio.
The app features a service request function allowing residents to report potholes, street light outages and other issues.
People can take a picture of their concern, pinpoint it on a map and submit it directly to staff from their phone.
“ConnectVictoria will make it easier for residents and business owners to give the City feedback and enable the City to be more proactive and responsive to concerns and issues as they arise,” Victoria mayor Lisa Helps said.
The app also includes job postings, the latest news, media releases and events.
