Prime Minister Mark Carney is calling on Albertans to “move forward together” with Canada as they head to the polls Monday to decide whether the province should stay in Confederation, or hold a second, binding referendum on separation. Carney made the comments alongside Alberta Premier Danielle Smith on Friday in Red Deer as part of his pro-Canada campaign in the province. Later in the day, Smith will attend a rally in Calgary with the federalist group Forever Canadian. Earlier in the day at a conference in Calgary, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre urged Albertans not to leave their fellow Canadians behind.
