We have made it through another winter in Calgary!
While we got a bit of a head start to the new season yesterday, thanks to some warm afternoon winds, spring officially begins today and it’s delivering some nice temperatures as we head into the weekend.

This afternoon, winds will be out of the northwest and conditions will be mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks and a high of 9 C.

A sharp trough of low pressure is working its way into Western Canada, which is driving our weather for the next couple of days.
The clouds we will experience today are the precursor for some possible wet weather on Saturday.
Good news, this system will help keep our temperatures above seasonal with a high of 10 C on Friday and 7 C on Saturday.
March weather can be very tricky to forecast and that’s proving to be the case when it comes to Saturday.
Some forecast models suggest we could see nothing but sunshine, some say clouds and others suggest both with some rain to boot!

At this point in time, there looks to be some flurries possible in the early morning hours on Saturday and the slight potential for brief doses of rain/snow showers during the afternoon.
It’s going to be one of those days that you’ll want the raincoat handy, but you might not need it!
Come Sunday, we continue our warming trend with double-digit highs leading us into the next week.
