The City of Lethbridge has once again proclaimed April 7 to be Green Shirt Day, in honour of Logan Boulet.
Mayor Blaine Hyggen brought forward the motion to council on Tuesday.

Boulet was one of 16 killed in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018.
Shortly before the crash, on his 21st birthday, Boulet signed his organ donor card—a decision that helped save six lives and sparked the “Logan Boulet Effect.”
Since then, the movement has inspired nearly 150,000 people across Canada to register as organ donors.

“I know that it’s more important that way and it brings to light the incredible movement that has come from an individual losing his life, so with that, I hope to spread awareness and inspire conversations about organ donations, ensuring Logan’s legacy lives on through all of our collective efforts,” Hyggen said.
The Boulet family will host a free skate at the Logan Boulet Arena on April 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
