Police investigation underway into early-morning Beltline stabbing

Calgary police are asking for public help to identify two suspects believed to have been involved in a stabbing early Saturday in the Beltline.

Around 2 a.m, police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 1300 block of 17 Ave. S.W. Arriving officers discovered two men suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. The two victims were transported to hospital in stable condition.

Police believe the two victims were walking in the area when they got into an argument with someone in a nearby car.

The argument escalated into a physical assault that ended up with the two men being stabbed, at which point the two suspects fled the scene.

The first suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old, around six feet tall, with a medium build. He has long dark hair in dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a black, fur-lined jacket.

The second suspect is between 25 and 35 years old, around six feet tall, with a medium build. He’s bald. He was last seen wearing a black jacket.

The car they were driving is believed to be a late-model, dark-coloured Infiniti sedan.
