Highway 93 north traffic will be disrupted in places Sunday due to avalanche control work – as well as an anticipated snowstorm.
The highway is closed in both directions between the Saskatchewan River Crossing and Highway 93A south of Jasper until 5 p.m. Monday night, the province posted on social media Sunday morning.
Heavy snowfall is also forecast for Rocky Mountain House and surrounding areas.

A snowfall warning was issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada for Clearwater County near Rocky Mountain House and Crimson Lake at 4:06 a.m., predicting somewhere between 10 and 20 centimetres.
It said the heaviest amounts are expected for communities near Hinton-Grande Cache and east towards Edson.
Communities further south, such as Nordegg and Kananaskis, can expect the heaviest snowfall Sunday night and into Monday.
The snow is expected to end by Monday morning.
