Over 1,200 students receive degrees, diplomas and certificates at Lethbridge Polytechnic convocation

Over 1,200 students graduated from Lethbridge Polytechnic Friday.

More than 600 students crossed the stage at Lethbridge Polytechnic Friday.

Two ceremonies took place throughout the day, with more than 1,200 students receiving degrees, diplomas or certificates.

The ceremonies featured students from justice and human services, trades and technologies, health and wellness as well as business, art and sciences.

The spring convocation also honoured this year’s valedictorian, agronomy student Paul Skretting.

“It’s a big relief,“ Skretting said. ”It’s nice to know that all my hard work paid off and i would’ve been happy here if i wasn’t valedictorian, but even then it’s nice to have some recognition for all of the hard work that everybody puts in."

The University of Lethbridge is set to host its spring convocation next Thursday and Friday.
