One more warm day in Calgary before mid-week temperature drop

One more day of spring before a temperature drop that will last until the end of the work week in Calgary.

Get ready for another spring day for Tuesday, Calgary.

The city won’t have quite as much sunshine as Monday, and it will be a little windier, with gusts up to 50 kilometres an hour.

The clouds will roll in on Wednesday, and there is a chance of a suppertime sprinkle. Wednesday night through Thursday expect about two to four centimetres of wet snow.

It will also be cold on Thursday, with a daytime high below freezing, so keep the warm coat ready before we recover into the double digits by Saturday.

Lorie Inglis snapped this shot of one of the first thunderstorms of the season on Monday. This storm clipped the south edge of Calgary, with the core between Calgary and Okotoks. It produced a good downpour, lightning, and even pea sized hail.
