No one injured after fire breaks out at southeast Calgary home

Published:

Firefighters were called to a townhouse in Penbrooke to deal with a small blaze outside the home early Tuesday.

At about 2 a.m., crews were called to the multi-family building in the 5500 block of 10 Avenue S.E.

Officials said a small pile of debris was on fire and had spread up the exterior wall of one of the units.

Ten people were told to leave the building while firefighters attended to the blaze.

No one was injured, but the occupant of the involved unit will be displaced for the time being.
