A man is in police custody after an assault that took place Saturday in northwest Calgary.
Police responded to reports of a man who was assaulted in the street on the 4500 block of Montgomery Avenue N.W.
The victim was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Police took an adult male suspect into custody at the scene.
Investigators expect to be on scene for the next few hours.
