Light snow Tuesday with strong north winds

Early morning temperatures across southern Alberta Tuesday were as warm as the average daytime high in many communities.

But this already started to change throughout the morning as a cold front began to move through Alberta, initiating in the northern regions and tracking south and east.

Tuesday will include a stronger north wind and make it feel colder than the ambient temperature by the afternoon.

Light snow is also expected for most of the central and southern regions – including Calgary - but accumulations should be low.

Daytime highs will remain above seasonal and above freezing values until Friday, when there will be a brief cooldown.

Overnight lows on Friday will drop to the low double-digits in Calgary on Friday before recovering by the end of the week.
