A fast-food chain is offering a free warm-up for first responders, as A&W and Safe Canada partner for the HEROE(s) Brew initiative.
Starting Thursday, all uniformed RCMP, municipal police, fire and EMS personnel can get a free small coffee at the restaurant every day.
“They run toward dangerous situations while most of us run away,” said Meke Ianello, business development director for A&W.
“This is the definition of courage and sacrifice, and it’s something we should all respect.”
The free coffee initiative runs until the end of the year.
