Expect the temperature to drop throughout the day on Thursday. Expect on-and-off snow, too

It's been warm a while, and now we're diving back into winter weather. It won't just be cold. Snow is coming, too.

We were eased into the cooldown on Wednesday, with a high of -2 C (normal for this time of year), but get ready for a real burst of winter on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday, the temperature will drop throughout the day, rather than warm up.

By the afternoon, it will feel like -26 with the wind chill.

Expect on-and-off snow.

We will pick up one to three centimetres in the city.

Friday will be another cold one, with snow returning in the evening and hanging around on Saturday.

We will still be below freezing this weekend, but more reasonably cold with minus-single-digit highs.
