Cooler start to the week with a slight chance of showers

The start of this week will be similar to the end of the weekend with slightly cooler temperatures and a chance of light and scattered rain.

Air quality advisories have been issued from Environment and Climate Change Canada for the central and northern portions of the Prairies where wildfire smoke is far more prevalent.

Smoke may travel further south in Alberta on Tuesday ahead of a more stable pattern that will push temperatures back into the mid to high 20s in Calgary.

Overnight temperatures in some Alberta communities, especially near the foothills could dip below freezing over the next two nights.

In Calgary, the overnight lows should sit close to a seasonal 5 C.
