A Cochrane resident says it felt “pretty good” to find out she won $100,000 on the lottery.
Shelley Simpson’s windfall is thanks to the March 7 Lotto Max and Extra draw.
She purchased her winning ticket from the Petro Canada on CrossIron Boulevard in Balzac, and won her prize by matching the last six digits of the draw: 2693713.
In a news release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, Simpson said her “heart started to palpitate” when she was claiming her prize.
“I’m going to put the money away,” she said, adding that she’s also going to “pay some bills” with her winnings.
