Holiday market showcases Indigenous artisans at 7 Chiefs Sportsplex

A holiday market celebrating Indigenous artists and performers kicked off Friday night.

Christmas at the Nation runs at the Tsuut’ina Nation until Sunday.

There are more than 220 Indigenous artisan vendors set up at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex and Chief Jim Starlight Center.

The market also includes drumming, dancing and storytelling with Nation elders.

There are special guests throughout the weekend as well, including Juno nominee Armond Duck Chief, who appears Sunday at 2 p.m., and Santa himself.

Sunday’s market closes at 4 p.m. It’s $10 admission or free for children.
