A local restaurant chain popular with the lunch crowd is closing at the end of the month.
Wonton King will shut down by the end of January.
The owner Angela Chuy says many important factors led to the decision, especially her plan on spending more time with family outside of Canada.
It’s a family business, started in 1980 under the name of King’s before it was passed down to the next generation and renamed Wonton King.
At one point it was estimated the staff made one and a half million wontons a year by hand.
