It’s hard to believe the Northern Super League is set to kick off in less than a month.
The Calgary Wild will take on the Vancouver Rise in Vancouver for the first-ever game.

It was a big day in Calgary on Thursday, and the league president paid a visit to our city to check up on things.
“It’s amazing going to these different markets and seeing how much things have progressed in the last few months, and seeing the players and seeing how excited they are about this dream really coming to reality is something that is so thrilling to see,” said Christina Litz, Northern Super League president.
The Wild also unveiled their jerseys on Thursday, and they have a lot of meaning behind them.
“I think people look at our logo and think it’s quite simple, but it’s actually quite diverse in what it actually represents and what it means,” said midfielder Farkhunda Muhtaj.
“The deep purple goes back to our strength and our ambition, and the vibrant red goes into our Calgary civic colour and into our fierce spirit as well.”
