Rain fell across central Alberta overnight with light and scattered showers possible across the region on Monday. The daytime high in Calgary will reach 17 C on Monday, but this will not be a warm 17 C. The day will be mostly cloudy with include wind from the north and northwest at 20 to 40 km/h. Tuesday will include more sunshine and a high of 23 C, but then conditions start to become unsettled again on Wednesday. Rain is expected throughout the B.C. interior and across central and southern Alberta on Wednesday. This will kick off at least four days with either scattered showers or more organized storm cells. Heading into the May Long weekend, both the daily highs and lows will slowly drop before they bottom out on Saturday at just 10 C and 3 C in Calgary. Persistent rain and moderate thunderstorms are also expected with between eight to 10 millimetres forecast for Calgary.
