UPDATE: Boil water advisory lifted on April 7, 2025.
Everyone in Beiseker, Alta., is advised to start boiling their water.
The province’s health authority issued notice for the southern Alberta village on Wednesday night.
Alberta Health Services said the boil-water advisory “is required due to depressurization of the water system during repair work.”
AHS said the advisory “will remain in effect until further notice.”
In the meantime, water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before being consumed.
According to AHS, “consumption” includes drinking, brushing teeth, cleaning raw foods, preparing infant formulas or juices, making ice, etc.
