5 people charged after investigation that leads to seizure of $89K worth of drugs

5 people were charged after Calgary police seized an estimated $89,000 worth of drugs from 2 southwest residences on Nov. 22, 2025

Five people have been charged in connection with the seizure of more than $89,000 worth of drugs from a southwest Calgary residence.

Police say they launched an investigation in September 2025 after receiving reports of drug trafficking activity at a residence in the 6700 block of Elbow Drive S.W.

One suspect was wanted on multiple warrants related to earlier court proceedings, according to police.

Police also identified three other suspects connected to suspected trafficking.

On Nov. 16, one person was arrested on outstanding warrants.

On Nov. 22, police executed two search warrants on two residences in the same complex.

Police seized the following:

• 756 grams of cocaine worth an estimated street value of $75,620;
• 774.3 grams of methamphetamine worth an estimated street value of $5,200;
• 12.2 grams of fentanyl worth an estimated street value of $1,025;
• 702 millilitres of GHB worth an estimated street value of $3,515;
• 30 tabs of LSD worth an estimated street value of $300;
• 148 benzodiazepine pills worth an estimated street value of $740;
• 139.5 hydromorphone pills worth an estimated street value of $2,790;
• four oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $80;
• $3,615 in Canadian currency;
• scales;
• individual baggies;
• cellphones; and
• a conducted energy weapon

A 45-year-old man was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and three counts of possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

A 36-year-old woman was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, two counts of failure to comply with a release order and four counts of possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking,

A 30-year-old man was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition and three counts of possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

A 52-year-old man was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 31-year-old woman was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with a release order.

The 45-year-old man, 30 year-old-man and 31-year-old woman are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 12.

The 36-year-old woman and 52-year-old man are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 16.
