Calgary police say three people have been charged following a trafficking investigation that uncovered $1.3 million worth of illegal drugs.

Police launched the investigation in October, identifying multiple people and homes believed to be involved.

On Nov. 21, police searched three vehicles, and three homes located in:

  • The 1400 block of First Street S.E.;
  • The 1200 block of 11 Avenue S.W.; and,
  • The 900 block of 31 Avenue N.W.

During the search, police seized 13 kilograms of cocaine, 268 grams of methamphetamine, 50 grams of crack cocaine, 26 grams of fentanyl, and some packaging, scales and cookware.

"Our officers located and seized a significant quantity of drugs during this investigation," said Staff Sgt. Keith Shufelt in a news release. "These are extremely dangerous substances that were removed from the community."

Two men and a woman are now facing charges.

All three are set to appear in court later this month.
