A fifth bomb threat in as many days has been made against a WestJet flight, this one bound for Victoria, a spokesman for Victoria International Airport has confirmed.

WestJet Flight 1709 from Las Vegas has since landed in Victoria and passengers are now being held in customs until the situation is resolved, according to spokesman James Bogusz.

The airport said it is not being treated as a credible bomb threat.

The flight took off from Las Vegas at 3:12 p.m. and was scheduled to land at YYJ at 5:43 p.m. It’s unclear if the plane landed on schedule.

RCMP are on site screening the aircraft with a K9 unit.

Mutual aid, including the airport fire service, has been called to the scene.

It’s the latest in a slew of bomb threats against WestJet flights.

The company has received four fake bomb threats over the past five days, all resulting in emergency landings.

In each case, no evidence of a bomb was found on board.

WestJet confirmed YYJ received the bomb threat in a tweet. The company said it worked with law enforcement officials to deem the threat not credible.
