Truck crashes into tennis court of Muskoka golf course: OPP

Police are investigating a Victoria Day weekend incident in Muskoka Lakes Township where a driver allegedly crashed their pickup truck into the tennis court of a local golf course.

According to Bracebridge OPP, officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision Saturday morning at around 8:15 a.m. on Golf Avenue Road. Windermere Golf & Country Club is the nearest golf course in the area.

Police say the vehicle left the roadway, crashed through a fence and came to rest on a tennis court, causing significant damage to both the property and the vehicle.

The driver allegedly fled the scene and has not been located. A media officer from Bracebridge OPP told CTV News that they have a suspect identified and that no one at the scene was injured.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information about the incident is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP or Crime Stoppers.
