Snow, blowing snow and treacherous driving conditions are behind the latest school bus cancellations.
With gusts of winds expected to hit 50 kilometres-per-hour, blowing snow and white-out conditions are expected on central Ontario roads Friday.
To that end, the Simcoe County Transportation Consortium has cancelled buses/vans in the North and West Weather Zones today.
These zones encompass Elmvale, Midland, Penetanguishene, Orillia, Collingwood, Stayner and Wasaga Beach.
Shared School Services Transportation has cancelled school buses in Flesherton, Markdale, Meaford, Thornbury and Owen Sound.
