Resident airlifted after getting trapped under large tree limb

One Oro-Medonte resident was airlifted from their property on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 1 p.m., Simcoe County Paramedics and Oro-Medonte Fire were call to a private property located along Line 6 in Oro-Medonte.

When officials arrived on scene, they say a person was found trapped under a large tree limb that had fallen.

Simcoe County paramedics told CTV News that the resident was cleaning up their yard when the incident occurred.

The patient was transported by paramedics to RVH and was later airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

The current state of the resident is unknown.
