Police seeking witnesses after woman was allegedly struck by car

Police are currently investigating after a woman was allegedly hit by a car in Essa Township.

On Saturday around midnight, Nottawasaga Police were called to a traffic hazard on County Road 10.

Officers arrived on County Road 10 between the 25th Sideroad and Willoughby Road for a report of a female laying on the edge of the road.

Police say they searched the area but were unable to find anyone that met the initial call description.

Shortly after, officers were contacted by a woman stating that she was walking along County Road 10 when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle.

Officers eventually found the woman in the area and were able to speak to her about the incident. She was later transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
