Police search for missing youth who left Muskoka for GTA

Provincial police are searching for a youth who they believe travelled from the Muskoka region to the Greater Toronto Area this week.

Aliya, 15, is described by police as five-foot-four in height with a small-to-medium build and red hair. She was believed to be wearing a red tracksuit, black coat, a coloured backpack and a Nike cross-body bag.

According to Bracebridge OPP, Aliya is originally from Timmins but travelled from the Torrance area of Muskoka Lakes Township at around 5 p.m. this past Monday. Police say she was last seen in Vaughan near Highway 7 and Weston Road at around 10 p.m. that same evening.

She is believed to still be in the Toronto area.

Anyone with information about Aliya’s whereabouts is asked to come forward.
