A woman in her 70s was airlifted to hospital after a collision in Orillia. A Sunday evening collision forced Provincial police to shut down Highway 12/Coldwater Road between Highway 11 and Monarch Drive. According to OPP, the collision between a person and a car happened around 8 p.m. ORNGE Air Ambulance confirmed to CTV News that the woman was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with critical injuries. Roads then reopened around 11:45 p.m. At this time, there is no word on a cause of the collision or charges.
