The latest edition of a six-year-old golf tournament has proven to be exceptionally successful for a local hospice provider. On Monday, Hospice Simcoe - Seasons Centre announced the 2026 Joan Wilson Memorial Golf Tournament raised more than $107,000. The organization said the money is made up of $25,000 in donations and additional funding from sponsors. “Year after year, people come out in Joan’s memory and help make compassionate hospice care possible for other families in our community,” says Kelly Hubbard, Executive Director of Hospice Simcoe - Seasons Centre via a statement shared by the organization. “To see the tournament sell out again this year and to know that the money raised will help families experience the same care that Joan did, is something we’re incredibly grateful for,” Hubbard says. Hospice Simcoe - Seasons Centre provides end-of-life care and support for individuals and family members before, during and after the death of a loved one. The organization says it operates at no cost to those in need thanks to donations, volunteers and sponsorships. The golf tournament was held in August.
