Just when you thought the 2025 ski season was over, there is still time to bring your skiboards and poles out on the slopes.
Blue Mountain Resort reopened last week after a temporary closure caused by the March ice storm madness, which left the resort and many others without power.
“Thanks to the tireless efforts of the resort’s dedicated operations team and Hydro One crews, the mountain is operational and ready to celebrate the final stretch of an incredible winter season,” shared members at Blue.
The last day of operations for the season will be Mon., April 21, marking the end of wonderful few months on the slopes.
“This season threw everything at us—from record-breaking snowfalls to a late-season ice storm—but the teamwork, grit, and behind-the-scenes efforts never wavered,” said Tara Lovell, Manager, Public Relations at Blue Mountain Resort. “We’re incredibly thankful to our operations team and the crews at Hydro One for restoring power and ensuring we could reopen safely.”
The 2024/2025 season saw more than 4 metres of natural snowfall, the team says this was the most recorded in the last 10 years at Blue.
As the final days approach, the Blue Mountain team says they are proud to report that the resort will reach 119 days on snow, aligning with the average length of a full winter season.
“This milestone underscores the success of the resort’s efforts to deliver top-tier skiing and riding opportunities regardless of what Mother Nature brings,” shared Lovell.
The resort will be opened on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Then it will reopen the April 18 to 21 long weekend, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Winter riders are encouraged to come out and make the most of these last days of spring skiing.
