OPP seeks witnesses to head-on crash that sent 4 to hospital, one in life-threatening condition

Provincial police are appealing to witnesses of a serious head-on crash that happened earlier in the week in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The collision involving two passenger vehicles happened Monday around 7 a.m. on Highway 35 between Sandy Hook Road and Pontypool Road.

Police say one person was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto with life-threatening injuries and three others were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The identities of those involved have not disclosed.

The highway was closed for several hours for the investigation, which remains ongoing.
