Exciting plans are underway for the Barrie Baycats as the team announces a brand-new stadium name and sponsor partnership.

For the next three seasons, the team will call Athletic Kulture Stadium ‘home’.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Barrie Baycats and become the official home of the defending IBL champions,” said Athletic Kulture operating partner Todd Sloane. “Athletic Kulture Stadium is about supporting our local athletes both on and off the field. This collaboration is about uniting the community, fostering teamwork, and creating unforgettable experiences for fans and players alike.”

Athletic Kulture is one of Barrie’s newest 24-hour gym, located at 154 Reid Drive.

Baycats president Josh Matlow visited the 22,000-square-foot facility on Friday to make the partnership official. The deal covers the 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons.

“From day one when I took over in 2020, Athletic Kulture was there to support the Baycats,” said Matlow. “Five years later, they’re taking that dedication to a whole new level.”

To celebrate, the Baycats will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the ballpark to unveil the new and improved stadium. In addition to the stadium partnership, Athletic Kulture will also present this season’s home opener on May 15.
