Driver, 21, dies in head-on crash with utility truck

One person has died in a head-on collision in Georgian Bluffs.

The crash involving a utility truck and a passenger vehicle happened on Grey Road 5 around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Provincial police say the driver of one of the vehicles, a 21-year-old from Owen Sound, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The utility truck driver was uninjured.

Police closed Grey Road 5 for several hours for the investigation. It has since reopened.

There is no word on the cause of the collision. Grey Bruce OPP asks anyone with information, including dash camera footage, of the collision to contact it at 1-888-310-1122.
